RESCUED Black KittyLook no further here is the coolest cat around... This big guy was found living in a parking lot having wandered into a feral cat colony. Since he was CLEARLY friendly and not at all a feral cat he went into the foster program - it s time he found the loving permanent home he deserves This kitty s foster mom liked the name Caleb long story behind that but the name has stuck for now. Caleb is about 3 years old and a handsome good-sized guy all-over black with just a tiny white patch on his chest for show. During his first few weeks in the foster home he didn t know what to make of house-cat life but he has really blossomed lately and is extremely friendly with visitors Caleb will happily occupy your lap for as long as you ll let him purring all the while. He likes to check out EVERYTHING the humans are doing and will even supervise your work if he feels it is necessary He is very active and enjoys a good playtime session with the rope or kitty fishing rod.While Caleb has gotten somewhat more tolerant of his foster kitty roommates with time he really isn t a big fan of other cats and much prefers human company. (He gets REALLY annoyed if another cat tries to interrupt his lap time ) He would be a great choice if you are looking for a single cat to be the center of your attention. He would also likely do fine with just one or two other cats in the home as long as they aren t aggressive or alpha cat personalities. Periodically Caleb can still get a bit nibbly mouthy when interacting with people although this has improved greatly since he was first taken in. We think this behavior would probably continue to diminish or go away entirely if he got more attention but just to be on the safe side he would probably do best in a household without very small children. Gentle older kids with prior cat experience would likely enjoy him very much.Caleb has been neutered vaccinated de-wormed and tested FIV FELV negative. He does a wonderful job using the litterbox There is an adoption donation to the Feral Cat Foundation an all-volunteer organization which provided all his medical care to help us continue providing care to kitties in need.
