Marco came to us with his brothers because they weren t given enough attention from the children in the family. Marco is now by himself because he wasn t enjoying the company of his brothers He s a little shy but quickly warming up to people. He s easy to pick-up if you go great and slow. He ll need a cage at least this big and a yearly veterinarian exam. This is critical to make sure all of his teeth are growing properly and that overall he s healthy. He ll also need a nail trim every 4-6 mons.Marco s new family should be calm and gentle until he really settles in. He enjoys being on a lap for petting and getting out of his cage to run around (a long hallway or bathroom is plenty of space). As with all GP s it s best to go slow. That puts them more at ease and being prey animals they can get scared very easily. If his new family has children parents should always supervise any interaction. GP s have fragile backs and spines. If not held properly that can easily be injured....
