Chika - Female German Shepherd Dog Mix

This shy sweetheart is Chika. She came to us after being hit by a car but after being under the care of our vet staff and a foster home she is ready to find a loving new home of her own. Chika was also rather under-socialized when she came to us and her foster parents have been putting a lot of effort into helping her build her confidence. We are requiring that Chika be signed up for positive reward-based training classes before she goes to her new home. These classes will provide lots of socialization teach her some manners and help deepen her bond with her new person. Chika is still in the process of learning how to be a house dog and will need a dog experienced home that can help her continue on with her crate training. She is a very social girl once she gets comfortable and is an expressive girl who will bark to get your attention. Chika is a big fan of other dogs and loves to have play dates with them. However she ll probably do best as an only dog or going to a home with a super mellow dog that doesn t mind Chika getting most of the attention while she is adjusting to her new life. Chika can likely live with a super confident cat that will stand its ground with her. Given how timid she can be Chika needs a home with adults only.
