Rescued male pit mix needs loving forever home

This poor guy was abandoned chained to a street sign and left to freeze. He is approximately 1 and 1 2 years old and a pit mix. He needs someone that has had experience with rescue dogs and will be able to work with him as far as training goes. He is super sweet and all he wants is love and attention. He is great with people but does not do well with other dogs or cats. He has scars and wounds that the vet thinks was caused by other dogs so this is probably why he is not too fond of other dogs. I did take him to the vet and got all his shots. He is positive for heart worm so we have already started his treatment which the vet assures will take care of the issue. Unfortunately we are not able to get him neutered until he has finished his heartworm treatment. He is a beautiful sweet boy that deserves a second chance with a family that will love him forever.
