In-Home Child Care - Compensation: $6.00/child/hour**

Hello I just recently relocated to Lee IL. And am looking to provide In-Home child care for surrounding families. I believe in hands on activities playing outdoors nutrition and education. There is very little that I have not been exposed to with young children and I would love to provide care to families looking to keep young children in an In-Home setting versus a daycare facility. I am flexible and set up to provide care in my own home. Healthy meals snacks as well as educational and fun activities will be provided All I ask is for the family to provide diapers and wipes as well as a nap mat and or blanket for nap time I was raised in Cuba IL with two younger brothers. I have always been surrounded by children and even started babysitting at a young age. With this I ve developed a passion for Early Childhood Education more specifically Special Education. While studying at Illinois Central College I had the opportunity to gear my studies toward those fields. Successfully I completed my observation in Dunlap IL with second grade. Course requirements consisted of but were not limited to observation of children s interaction with the teacher faculty and one another. I focused on style and approach provided by the teacher which offered a well rounded learning atmosphere. I was required to document and apply the children s absorption and retention over the course of a semester. I also successfully completed my field work in Bartonville IL. I became part of a team with one teacher and three aides in a very small classroom of students. These children ranged between 11 - 14 years of age functioning on cognitive levels between preschool and second grade. I worked one on one in a very structured classroom setting with each student. We focused on the abilities of the individuals in order to help them achieve the highest levels of retention. This course and work is a requirement of State Universities for entry into the educational field beyond a two year college. I have also completed and passed the Illinois State Basic Skills test. I do plan to enroll and complete my Bachelors degree at Northern Illinois University Fall of 2014 and obtain my teaching certificate through the state. For now I am focused on providing childcare in order to financially support the rest of my education. I have had the opportunity to take and pass courses in childhood education exceptional learner education childhood psychology and human verbal development. (Just to name a few)I have been very blessed with a wonderful home provided by my boyfriend who works full-time. Together we are raising his 3-year-old little boy who is the light of our lives.
