MEET PUMA This big handsome graceful boy lives up to his name in looks but unlike his big cat counterparts he s as sweet as they come Puma is around 7 years old and found his way to City of Elderly Love after being found in a colony of community cats and when he was brought in to the vet to be neutered it turned out he was already neutered and also super friendly He obviously belonged to someone at some point in his life because he LOVES to be around people. His caretaker decided it was best to find him a home with a family instead of re-releasing him.Puma is now safe in foster care and is loving the indoor life again He gets along with dogs other cats kids -- everybody He s just a big easygoing lapcat who s looking to find his forever home. Puma loves head and chin rubs (well really any attention) scratchy toys and FOOD He also has the most adorable croaking meow that has earned him the nickname Mr. Toad. Additionally he has stunning sea foam colored eyes and a beautiful buff and white coat Aside from his temperament the other reason Puma couldn t be returned outside was because he tested positive for FIV but he wants you to know that those three little letters ain t no thang FIV just means that his immune system is a little weaker than some of his normal counterparts but with a loving indoor home and good diet FIV cats can live long healthy lives just like any other cat What s that you say You re worried about him infecting your non-FIV cats FIV is NOT transmitted through casual contact like if two cats share a water bowl or litter box. FIV is only contracted through a deep puncture wound and bites like that are uncommon in altered friendly cats like Puma.
