Melba is a 16 year old male goffin s cockatoo. He joined his previous family who were only supposed to look after him for a short period of time. While they tried to integrate him into their family he never seemed completely content. Here at CTPR he is quickly showing us his personality. Melba eagerly seeks attention and head scratches from everyone he meets. He is not particularly loud for a goffin s but has had a history of plucking and self-mutilation which will need to be monitored. Goffin s live for 40 years and are native to Indonesia.
