We live in Fallbrook on 23 acres where we raise our herd of mini wigglebutts. All of our dogs live as a pack and only get kenneled for breeding or not breeding and we have three that are climbers so they have to be put in the kennel at night to keep them safe from the local coyotes who seem to patrol everywhere. When I say our dogs live as a pack I mean that they socialize all day everyday with the doxie s and the aussies in two different yards. The puppies get to socialize in these groups with supervision for several hours per day. The puppies are raised in our home first in my bedroom and then at about three weeks they graduate to the laundry room where they experience more noise and get introduced to the house dogs and every morning is play time in the kitchen. During this time they are learning to use papers for their potty. At about 5-6 weeks they get put into the puppy pen in the back patio and yard where they meet the boy aussies and doxie s and where they learn to potty in the grass. By the time they are ready to go home they are pretty well potty trained and very well socialized with people other dogs and the grandkids and friends kids that visit. I like my puppies to go to homes where they are loved and get the best of care. I prefer homes where one parent is home most of the time so the pupppy is not left home alone all day where they can get into trouble or get hurt. These puppies are very smart so I always recommend puppy classes intermediate and advanced classes at PetSmart where they train you to train your dog. I take the ones I keep and have been very happy with the results. Some of my dogs have gone on to do agility fly ball frizbee and some are going to be shown but almost all of them are just great pets. They love kids almost always get along with cats and other dogs and all they really want is to be with their person.
