Angels Among Us Animal Rescue announces a new Angel Meet Dahlia Dahlia is a beautiful and active mixed breed pup we think she may be a border collie and or Belgian shepherd mix given her intelligence and the way she literally PRANCES When she was rescued she was starving flea infested and with ears that were infected from fly strikes. She was only 14 pounds Now Dahlia is healthy has a shiny coat and is 50 pounds She is just a gorgeous young dog now Dahlia wants to be near her people. She likes to sleep with you and will try to get to you if she is put in another room. She has been around toddlers and has been fine. She will jump inside gates but has never jumped an outside fence. She is happy and energetic so she will need a home where she can get plenty of exercise and love. She would be a great dog for someone who loves to run or hike or take long walks. Dahlia is good with dogs and cats and likes to romp and play. She is very attentive to her people and easy to redirect if need be. She would do best in a forever home where there is another playful dog to interact with. Dahlia has already learned sit and stay. Dahlia is very gentle affectionate and overall is a happy dog. She s not much of a chewer other than toilet paper and her kennel but could have extra nervous energy during the transition into a new home so we advise lots of chew toys and supervision while she acclimates. She has been spayed and is up to date on all of her vaccinations.Dahlia is currently in TN but will be transported to New England for adoption. The adoption donation is 400 which includes a health certificate transport north and a micro chip. Unless stated otherwise all dogs will be spayed or neutered on flea tick product and heart worm prevention medicine (if older than 5 months) and micro chipped prior to adoption.
