This 2.5 year old was found as a stray on the mean streets of Phoenix AZ. Why is this shocking Because though he looks like a typical cat in pictures he actually has several genetic abnormalities that affect his back legs. His legs are twisted and one is completely nonfunctional. He walks on his front legs and holds his entire back end up. We are shocked that he made is out of the streets alive. He was brought to the Humane Society who called All About Animals Rescue because we specialize in twisty cats. When they neutered Duncan they discovered he was crypt orchid and had to do an open abdominal surgery to find his testicle. He came home to our foster the day after. He tested negative for FeLV FIV was vaccinated dewormed and microchipped. On the last check of the cats for the night our foster found Duncan with his abdomen completely open and exposed. Somehow the incision did not hold and his intestines were even coming through. At 10pm we called our vet at home and explained the situation. She agreed to meet us at the hospital and take care of him. This amazing vet Dr. Higgins saved his life and did not charge us anything extra for the time of day or complications This is one reason we are so dedicated to Deer Creek Animal Hospital Duncan recovered and now is ready to move on to his forever home. HE HAS NO SPECIAL NEEDS. He is able to climb up cat condos and he acts like a regular cat. He is NOT in pain and in his eyes he is just another normal cat who wants a family of his own He is quite dominant so we feel that he would do well as an only cat with a submissive other cats or dogs.
