Lovely Chickering Boston Baby Grand. We had this looked at by an appraiser and she said that restored to its original condition would be worth a considerable amount. We have no expectation of that amount as we know it needs some work. There are a few nicks and scratches an area where the wood is discolored a considerable gash and one very small area where the wood is missing but overall a very nice piano for its age. We are basing our price on the numbers found on the plates inside and what we were told by the appraiser. This would be a lovely piano for someone who enjoys restoring or knows how to approach that. It needs tuning and two keys need to be serviced but it has a beautiful rich and bold sound. Will consider all reasonable offers but need this moved ASAP. REDUCED UPDATE We had this priced at 4800 We recently had a professional take a look at the piano-the soundboard has been repaired so we are reducing the price accordingly. This would be a great starter piano for a newbie or a great project for an experienced restorer. All reasonable offers accepted.
