Ellis - Male German Shorthaired Pointer Mix

Hi guys my name is Ellis. I am 1 years old German Short Haired mix. I was found as a stray at a high-kill shelter. My handsome picture was passed around to many Rescues and thankfully IAR so my cool eyes and saved me. I am now living in a foster home where I am learning the ropes of living in a home. The first thing my foster Mom had to do was fatten me up a bit because I was a so skinny. I liked that part. All the dogs in the house and I and there s lots of us have this time called line up . I can t count because well I m a dog but there s some big dogs like me and some little dogs and we all know our line up time. I sit and wait very patient just like to the other dogs for the nice man we like him to give us our treats. I am not food aggressive and I am a house trained. I am still learning some other basic commands but my foster Mom is real patient with me. She was teaching me how to trust people and building a trust and a bond first. Now that I can trust people I know I don t have to worry anymore. Her trust in me is so good I don t need to be crated when I am left alone. I don t know how long I was a stray but I like being in a home. My foster Mom takes me to her work and I learn how to go for car rides what an experience. Maybe one day I will have my own family and they will teach me more things. My foster Mom knows I am really smart and I can learn so many things if someone will give me the chance. The same chance IAR Volunteers did when they saw my handsome face. So can you give me a chance for a forever home All you got to do is come meet me. I really hope you do.
