EXTERIOR PAINTERS WANTED FOR PORTLAND AREA We paint the exterior of homes requiring manual labor. We are looking to hire immediately so if you feel that you re fit for the job please fill out an application from the link at the bottom as soon as possible JOB DUTIES Apply adhesives. Apply cleaning solvents. Finish and trim work. Maneuver heavy objects. Operate airless spray paint equipment. Prepare surfaces to paint. Mask or cover structures. Use pressure-washing equipment. Clean up. Follow hazardous material safety procedures. Follow all safety procedures. Power wash exterior walls. Climb ladders at second story homes to prep and paint. Scrape sand and prime exterior siding. REQUIREMENTS No previous experience required employer would train you. Valid driver license to operate your own vehicle to perform work related duties. Willing to work outdoors in hot weather. No fear of heights (maneuver and climb ladders at second story homes). IDEALLY Previous experience with residential prep work and painting Manuel labor experience HOURS Typically work Monday through Thursday (10 hour days) Available to work some Fridays and weekends (depends on work load). Position will last until the middle of September 2013. WAGE 9.00- 12.00 per hour depending on efficiency plus production bonus at the end of the painting season. Must be willing to work door to door at the end of the work day around the areas we are painting to get potential customers who might be interested in getting their home painted this summer. Willing to work 4 hours per week off commission based pay. This position is fun and challenging that is ideal for someone wanting to get hands on experience in project management while working with other people with the same goals and work ethics. Although experience is ideal it is not required as every painter will go through the same training process. The model individual is competitive hardworking and able to communicate effectively and organized. Those that fit these requirements may be selected from the interview process as a job site manager in which you will have the opportunity to get hands-on experience in managing your own crew of several painters and receive an increase in pay.
