Hi I am Sadie and I am looking for my forever home. I am a funny mixed breed but because of my mix I look like a miniature black lab (26 pounds). I am a sweet little girl and I have come a long way in a short time. When I first came to my foster home I was pretty skittish and nervous about everything. But I have now settled in very nicely and I have learned that I really do like being a dog. I learn very quickly and I already have potty training and crate training down and that is only after 2 weeks of practice. I really do like my crate and even spend time in it for comfort. So I hope that my new home will have a crate to help me feel comfortable. A crate also keeps me safe as sometimes I like to nose around and get in things like the trash or my foster mom s closet. I haven t been naughty and destroyed anything but my foster mom does watch me closely when I am not crated since I am still learning.I like other dogs cats and children but I do tend to be pretty scared at first of all of these creatures. But once I learn that they are part of my pack then I am just fine being around any of them. I will be ready for my new home on July 10th after I am spayed. I would do best in a home with someone who is willing to give me lots of love and attention and understanding because sometimes I can get a bit scared. I would love to have another older dog around who wants to be my big brother sister...but it isn t a necessity. Dogs have been heartworm tested and if appropriate (age and time of year) all dogs and puppies are given heartworm preventative. All are given medication to rid them of roundworms and checked and treated for fleas & ear mites if needed. Dogs and puppies are given distemper vaccines and depending on how long the pet has been in foster care additional distemper vaccine(s) may be necessary and the expense will be incurred by the adopter. Any canine over 4 months of age is brought current on the Rabies vaccine. Additional vet care may have been provided depending on the particular animal s needs. Dogs are individually priced as above. Please note that we do not ship dogs and we cannot guarantee that a long trip to see a foster dog will result in an adoption or taking the dog home on that day.
