And since the most important thing when firing field artillery is knowing where the projectile will hit the Field Artillery Surveyor Meteorological Crewmember is a critical member of the field artillery team.Field Artillery Surveyor Meteorological Crewmembers are part of an artillery team that fires large ammunition or missiles to support infantry and tank units in combat. Specific duties in this position include monitoring weather conditions and patterns as well as providing firing position data schematic sketches and astronomic observations so units can fire and launch missiles accurately. Crewmembers also operate and perform maintenance on survey meteorological equipment vehicles and weapons.The skills you learn as a Field Artillery Surveyor Meteorological Crewmember such as teamwork discipline and leadership will help you in any civilian career you choose.
