Parsons has the people and power to move the world. Need The Parsons Positive Train Control Program seeks a Systems Configuration Manager. This is a full time position with initial direct support to the PTC Programs. Key Role support setup and maintenance of Configuration Management activities for all PTC Programs via a consolidated PTC Lab based backend currently located in the Rancho Cucamonga PTC Project Office. The Configuration Manager will be responsible for completing and implementing the configuration control plan for the project which is to design and build a mission critical safety system for an operating commuter railroad. Configuration control practices shall be compliant with Parsons best practices and business objectives contract requirements and applicable standards for a large technology construction project. This will include the establishment and maintenance of a design baseline set of drawings and documentation for a very-large-scale-integration system including a number of complex software based subsystems and construction and installation sites. Controlled items will include drawings design reports functional descriptions software data used by software applications geographic data other computer files requirements traceability items test reports reliability data installation records inspection reports maintenance and operating procedures property records and other controlled items. The ideal candidate will have skills in applying configuration management techniques to a wide range of configuration controlled items working with engineering and technical staff in a wide range of disciplines and working effectively in a large fast-paced project office. Candidate must have the ability to work with subcontractors and technology suppliers and efficiently integrate their native configuration control practices. This is a system level position and requires a detailed understanding of large scale system integration of electronic systems with hardware software network and data subsystems in conjunction with subject matter knowledge of rail technology.
