Position Available Direct Support Staff Position Summary Staff will carry out meaningful community experiences including job development independent living skills complete comprehensive assessments develop and implement measurable goals track and summarize individual s goals. Ensure individual safety protection of his her rights and dignity at all times. Maintain positive and consistent communication with I.D. team. Qualifications Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Prefer a minimum of 6 months experience providing services to persons who have developmental disabilities in a community setting or related experience. Most important the desire to give back to your fellow man. The position takes a person with a patient understanding and loving heart. Additionally the following are required. - A belief that all adults have the right and the ability to work and live in the community. - Must be 18 years of age or older. - Must have submit and maintain for the duration of employment a valid driver s license a valid insurance policy (showing you as an insured driver) and valid vehicle registration. - Must have and maintain for the duration of employment a reliable passenger vehicle. - A willingness to pursue training and certification deemed necessary based on the needs of the individual(s) supported.
