Hurricane Jane aka Jane. four year Old Registered Thoroughbred. Bought back in February for the Retired Racehorse Project TB makeover for 2016. We were registered and accepted right away. Was going to compete in the barrel racing portion of the event but now work has picked up and she just isnt getting the time she deserves. Has had only two starts in her racing career. Wasnt a very great race runner I was told. Shes a very smart and willing girl. No bad habits. I have ridden her both English and western. She is a very nice mover. Level headed. I never put her on a barrel pattern let alone galloped her. We have been working on just basic flatwork and ground work. Lounges both ways at every gait. No leg or hoof problems. Has nice sturdy feet. Her back pasterns do swell stock up when she stands in her stall but I promise as soon as you get her out and moving around the swelling goes down. It doesnt affect her in any way. Our Fox Trotter is the same way......
