Position Specialist - Compensation: 10.00/hr

Positions Available Program Specialist Duties of the Position Work closely as mentor to youth in grades 1st -5th many from at-risk neighborhoods in the Peoria area at local schools or community centers Enthusiastically conduct fun weekly programs using prepared meeting outlines and program materials Track attendance and achievements advancements for each youth at weekly meetings and submit by Friday at 5 p.m. each week Work with assigned supervisor in planning outdoor activities Average hours per week 4-6 Position Requirements Ability to interact effectively with youth Showcase excellent interpersonal skills and be willing to learn new skills Excellent punctuality and accountability Transportation is required. Some light lifting physical activities such as running and jumping in game settings Applicants must successfully pass a criminal background check Work Days and Hours School-year programs are run for 1 hour after school Supplies will be provided for programs Once a month a meeting will be scheduled for all program specialists and leaders to coordinate next month s calendar. Summer positions are available Compensation Compensation starting 10 hr 1 hour of preparation time given for each meeting excluding multiple meetings. Compensation applies for required trainings
