This chair is older but still in terrific shape. It has the large rear wheels (23 ) that the sitter can use to propel the chair with their hands and which make it MUCH easier to cross a parking lot or roll down steps than the small six-inch wheels some portables come with.The seat is approx 17-18 wide and about the same to the floor. Seat and back are flexible rather than rigid and it has padded arm rests.It folds for convenient car transport. Frame is steel and chrome - it weighs a bit more than the newer aluminum ones but feels more substantial and is quite sturdy. If you are an older person or someone with impaired physical abilities who is caring for someone this might be a little too heavy for you to wrestle into and out of the car....
