The School of Applied Health and Educational Psychology (SAHEP) in the College of Education (COE) at Oklahoma State University-Stillwater is seeking qualified applicants for the newly approved RN-BSN Program which will prepare registered nurses for expanded roles in the profession of nursing. The Director of the RN-BSN program reports to the Head of the School of Applied Health and Educational Psychology. OSU is seeking a forward-thinking leader who will build on the breadth and strength of its undergraduate programs and educational model while inspiring collaborative relationships both within and outside the university. The candidate must demonstrate a deep commitment to and experience in developing and maintaining a strong curriculum diversity research obtaining external funding inter-professional and collaborative education and progressive approaches to professional nursing education and practice. The candidate should have experience in applying for and achieving initial national accreditation through the Commission on Collegiate Education (CCNE) by demonstrating compliance with the CCNE standards and key elements. The Director is responsible for the overall development operation and maintenance of the RN-BSN Program in the College of Education. Responsibilities include Coordinating all aspects of the RN-BSN program in both development and planning and collaborates with other programs units and support services Providing academic leadership and oversight for the program Planning with the faculty staff and appropriate committees for student admission progression retention and advisement activities related to the RN-BSN program Providing leadership for and assume primary responsibility for seeking initial and ongoing accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) Coordinates all aspects of the RN-BSN program development and planning and collaborates with other programs units and support services Prepares and monitors the program s annual budget Responsible for and collaborates with the School of Applied Health and Educational Psychology and the Dean of the College of Education in the recruitment and appointment of faculty to the RN-BSN program. Coordinates academic advising for students with the COE Director of Student Service In collaboration with the Dean of the COE assures the academic quality accountability and fiscal viability of the RN-BSN program using a Continuous Systematic Program Evaluation Plan (CSPBP) Coordinates with designated faculty and staff the scheduling of online courses including a Wellness practicum Collaborates with appropriate faculty and staff in the maintenance and development of instructional resources including library and media holdings necessary for the continuing development of the academic program Facilitates and prepares grant proposals that support program activities Assists in the management of enrollment recruitment of students admission to the RN-BSN program evaluation of student progress and recommends candidates for honors and awards Represents the RN-BSN program on designated School Councils and Committees Develops and maintains external relations with clinical partners peer institutions communities of interest professional associations and organizations that serve the interest of the program. Minimum Required Ph.D. Ed.D. in Nursing or related field and administrative organizational or governance experience within a baccalaureate nursing program.
