Introducing Idgie This sweet 60 pounder is a big ball of love. She has been on crate rest for the past 3 weeks but she can finally be a dog again (and available for adoption) on 10 18 16 Idgie is a Staffordshire Terrier Bulldog mix and is a little over 2 years old. She s fully crate trained and loves other dogs.Because Idgie has been on crate rest for a few weeks now her normal demeanor is yet to be determined. Energy-wise she seems to be a pretty mellow dog. After all crate rest isn t easy and she has been a champ At about 7PM this odd burst of energy explodes out of Idgie and she gets super playful ...for about 20 minutes then she turns into a potato again Once she gets to be a full-fledged pup a couple walks and some play sessions should suffice to keep her stimulated through the day.Though she is not fully housebroken she s nearly got the hang of it Idgie hasn t been around cats much but the ones running around outside get a little stare-down from her. Her attention is easily redirected though and she focuses on more entertaining things to do. Children are her best friends and she ll take all the attention they can give. She has been around kids as young as toddlers up through high school and has enjoyed every minute of it Structured introductions to other dogs are required so she does best with individual play dates rather than dog park trips. Her confident stalky body will trot right up to you to say hello Foster Mom is currently working on her manners and is starting with a clean slate but she s confident she ll get there )Idgie is a sweet and affectionate girl who can be very cuddly but does fine alone. Since she can t spend the day playing with her canine siblings she stays in a separate bedroom and doesn t even whine when Foster Mom closes her in there. When it s cuddle time you can lay right on top of her and she fully supports it She s practically mastered being the perfect pillow for her other 4-legged buddies. This pup is not a morning dog when Foster Mom s alarm goes off the other dogs run and jump and get so excited to start the day Idgie however wants to part in it and definitely prefers to sleep in. Loving lazy happy & content that s Idgie for you With a little sharpening of her training skills she ll be the perfect pup in no time She absolutely loves her crate her humans and her doggy friends but check back in after a couple of weeks and we ll have another update on Idgie We require a home visit for all of our adoptions.
