Meet Finnegan This sweet little guy is a 5 month old Jack Russell Min Pin Dachshund Chihuahua mix. He will probably grow to be about 20-25 pounds.He is the epitome of sweetness sugar and spice and everything nice. He has a naturally submissive personality and wants to make everyone happy dog and human friends alike. He has played well with both a tiny puppy and a large adult dog. As long as they don t overwhelm him he is a happy camper.He has had a rough start to life. He was put out on the streets by his previous owner because they didn t want to pay the small fee to surrender him. He was then put into a high kill shelter and rescued in the nick of time and transported up to Bellingham. He is friendly with everyone although he can be a little bit timid as he learns that new people and situations aren t going to harm him.He loves to run and play and will leap onto your lap and lick your face. He is very gentle loving and has a sweet and sensitive soul. He loves to snuggle and would like a home where he can sleep on the bed with his person people. He is working on house training and is doing well as long as you are paying attention to his signals. He doesn t seem to know any commands but he is very smart. I don t think anyone has put the time in to teach him anything. He is just a baby and would benefit greatly from attending obedience classes with his new human. Commitment to socializing him early will also be important so he can grow into a healthy and well adjusted adult. He so far has seemed uninterested in cats but he may chase them if they run from him. He does have a prey drive and is interested in chasing squirrels etc. He has a very gentle nature. He seems very tolerant and lets the tiny puppy pull on his skin and steal his toys and he has never shown any aggression so he may do well with respectful children. He would love to go to a home with another dog that can show him the ropes and teach him about boundaries but it isn t necessary. He has a lot of puppy energy and he will need a home committed to exercising him and giving him things to keep him occupied. His new family will need to be committed to helping him build his confidence and learn how to function in a home environment.
