Cody is still quite shy and recovering from the trauma of losing his family and being separated from his doggy roommate. He also was most likely not well socialized with other dogs. His new adopters should go slowly with him while he builds up his comfort level. Cody was a little too concerned about his environment to be interested in toys or balls at this time. As he becomes accustomed to his new home and family he will most likely enjoy playing interactively with them. We encourage enrolling Cody in a small dog training class. This will build his confidence and also build a strong bond with you. Cody is smart and will be fun to train. Although he lived with another dog Cody does not care to meet or interact with other dogs. He most likely did not have much exposure to dogs and prefers to keep it that way. This could change in the future but for now Cody wants to be the only dog in the family. Cody is still young and can look forward to a long happy life as a favorite family companion.
