Healthy Living Begins With Nutritious Food Grown Everyday Everywhere For Everybody The Urban Farming Institute is a registered 501 (3) tax exempt non profit organization located in Oakland Park FL. UFI serves as a regional education demonstration and resource center for educators health practitioners gardeners farmers and producers interested in growing food in an urban setting. We help out and educate people on how to grow their own food. We also oversee the Oakland Park Discovery Farm Gardens and Community Garden as well as the city of Oakland Parks weekly Farmers Market every Wednesday 4-8 pm from November thru May. We take pride in developing educational gardens in nearly 50 schools in Broward County and educate the students and teachers on how to properly grow their own food. Open to the public we offer weekly educational classes at the institute focusing on a myriad of garden topics-From soil to integrated pest management to hydroponics and aquaponics....
