Coordinator of Women s and LGBTQ Affairs

The Coordinator of Women s & LGBTQ Affairs will plan develop and assess programs to enhance gender equity and LGBTQ inclusion. Develop and implement gender equity education and cultural enrichment activities. Design and deliver customized seminars and workshops on issues of concern to women. Provide information advice and referral to women seeking assistance. Develop affiliations with academic departments that can partner with the coordinator in developing and co-sponsoring activities events and research regarding gender issues and LGBTQ inclusion. Other duties as assigned. Travel at least once per year. Work some nights and weekends as needed. Minimum qualifications Master s degree in Gender and Women s Studies Counseling LGBTQ Studies or Student Affairs and three years related experience working on gender equity issues. Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with other offices in program development and problem solving are vital. Excellent written and oral communication public speaking teaching training skills are required. Organizational skills combined with the ability to multi-task and work as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment is essential. Prefer candidate with experience with grant writing and the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with administrators faculty staff and students in an academic setting.
