Write edit and or proofread original text for drafts of multiple new or revised non-IFSTA (International Fire Service Training Association) validated fire service training manual projects and prepare them for graphic production. Develop coordinate and manage work schedules and work flow with contract editors and or authors for multiple publishing projects. Assist other FPP Units with writing editing and or proofreading original text for drafts of new or revised IFSTA validated fire service training manuals newsletters advertising materials and other documents generated within FPP. Minimum qualifications Bachelor degree in related field and three years of experience in a related field or a Master s degree and one year of experience in a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and other pertinent computer software used in this position. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent time management skills. Prefer candidate with the following additional qualifications Bachelor degree in English Technical Writing Journalism or a related field (as determined by the department) or bachelor degree in English Technical Writing or Journalism and three years of experience in a related field or a Master s degree and three years experience in a related field.
