Accept Cash or (Credit Card via PayPal for 4 or all 8 batteries). I am selling so cheap because I was able to get a relatively good price on a lot of 20 new batteries. Need to sell these 8 to buy the solar panels. While I would prefer to sell in a group of 4 or 8 for people that may want larger 24V 48VDC battery banks I will consider selling in pairs ( 650 cash 325 each). Off Grid use... Willing to meet half way point between KC and your location... 2200-2500 cycle lifetime at 20% DoD or up to 12 Years as UPS. Bonus - for the person that buys all 8 batteries - Cash PayPal. Will include 50 2 gauge AWG battery cabling (25 Red 25 Black) and 20 - 2 AWG copper 3 8 Lugs for free. 2 -- 12V 200AH AGM Deep Cycle Batteries - 650 ( 325 each) 4 -- 12V 200AH AGM Deep Cycle Batteries - 1300 ( 325 each) 8 -- 12V 200AH AGM Deep Cycle Batteries - 2400 ( 300 each) 2 4 or 8 New 12V 200AH AGM Deep Cycle Battery Banks for Solar System and UPS. Design life of 12 years 12 Years for UPS backup system . Depth of Discharge daily or regular cycling can bring life span down to 2200-2500 cycle lifetime at 20% DoD. These batteries retail for 399.99 and are not to be confused with short lived UPS batteries on EBay. These are designed specifically for a long life cycle for solar energy collection using thicker lead plates. Self-discharge ratio less than 3% per month at 25oC. Please charge batteries before using. These batteries are designed for deep cycle charge discharge of 2200-2500 cycle life time at 20% DoD (Assuming proper care and attention to charge discharge cycles and the use of a MPPT Charge Controller). Deeper discharging will shorten the battery bank life. The following is meant to educate you not scare you. With proper care and maintenance you can have a happy healthy battery bank that will last you for years. However the opposite is equally true... Recommended Charging current to maximize the life of your battery bank 10% of the batteries rated AH capacity is absolute (yes... I am repeating this for a reason). For a single 12V 200AH AGM deep cycle battery do not exceed a charging current of more than 20A. If you use a higher charge current you will shorten the battery use life or even damage the battery by warping the plates creating a short circuit - which could lead to an explosion. This is in part due to a faster buildup of hydrogen then what is normally reabsorbed during a safe charging cycle. In the case of a battery bank recommend 10% of rated Amp Hours. For example a 400AH bank 40AMP 800AH Bank 80AMP Charging Current. If your solar panel array is properly sized wired to a correct MPPT charge controller but you are not getting enough current from your solar panels you may want to explore single and or dual axis tracking to get direct sunlight for a longer period of time. When connecting an MPPT Charge Controller connect to the negative terminal from the furthest path to the Positive terminal. A lead acid battery when overcharged will produce hydrogen gas. If the ventilation is inadequate or the safety valve releases are blocked a flammable concentration of hydrogen gas may remain in the cell or in the battery enclosure. Any spark can cause the hydrogen explosion which will damage the battery and its surroundings. Ensure you are using the correct gauge of wire for your bank no smoking and frequently inspect your terminal connections for a tight fit. Never use a battery bank in your house. Attempting to charge a battery beyond its electrical capacity i.e. overcharging can also lead to a battery explosion leakage or irreversible damage to the deep cycle battery. It may also cause damage to the components in which the overcharged battery is used. Spend the money and buy a quality MPPT Solar Charge Controller. When a conventional battery is recharged at an excessive rate an explosive gas mixture of hydrogen and oxygen may be produced faster than it can escape from within the walls of the battery leading to pressure build-up and the possibility of the battery case bursting. Frequent inspection of the batteries is highly recommended check for bulging sides or a battery that is hotter in comparison to healthy batteries. Dropping a battery can cause internal damage which can also lead to a short circuit in the plates either making the battery useless or a potential hazard during regular charging cycles. Battery Do s Think safety first wear safety goggles and gloves when charging batteries. Do regular inspection and maintenance especially in hot weather. Do recharge batteries immediately after discharge. Lift with your knees not your back. Batteries are very heavy. If you don t know what you are doing seek a professional. Install multiple power disconnects at key points in your solar collection and charging layout. Battery Do Not s Don t use unregulated high output battery charges to charge batteries especially AGM batteries. Don t put your batteries into storage without some form of maintenance charger. Don t disconnect battery cables while solar panels are transferring current. Don t put off recharging your batteries. Don t discharge the battery any deeper than you possibly have to. Don t let a battery get hot to the touch and boil violently when charging. Don t mix size and type of batteries. Don t drop a battery. Get assistance for a safer install and a healthy back. Inappropriate use causing poor battery performance including excessive DoD shortening service life. (Depending on your electrical needs buy a sufficient number of batteries to meet a 25% or less Depth of Discharge to prolong the life of your battery bank.) 1. Terminal The connecting of cables not screwed securely and or forcefully mis-threading screws causing terminal damage or cross connecting (shorting the battery out). 2. Negative and positive connect incorrect when connecting a Solar Charge Controller (MPPT recommended controllers) or Inverter or to other batteries. 3. Human error damage. i.e. short circuits by dropped tools dragging other objects allowing poles to short mis-wiring battery banks incorrect charger type over voltage over amperage on charging cycles. Excessive DoD shortening life of battery. 4. Explosion fire caused by loose cable connections (sparks) incorrect wire sizing burning out connections overcharging other misuse as listed above leading to an explosion. By buying these batteries you have agreed to release me the seller of any liability.
