..............................PRICE INCLUDES SHIPPING........................ This may take some explanation if you are not familiar with a buffer amp and what is used for. A company by the name of Musical Fidelity in England made buffer amps back in the day and were extremely succesful. The usual idea is to connect this unit either between a pre-amp and power amp or between a source (CD Player music streamer etc) and a pre-amp. The effect is easily heard. I will just say that the unit helps match electronic devices and many times will reduce the amount of harshness that digital formats produce. Also there is an increase in bass impact and detail as well as a treble response that is smoother and less brittle. Much of this effect is due to the tubes used in the unit. Once thought to be an outdated device tubes have made a resurgence in audio systems for their sonic qualities. Forunately I came across an enclosure that looks as good as it sounds. It is a wooden cigar box that is just the right soze for this project and people are quickly catching on. This particular unit will not be complete with power cord and a couple details for another week but I am showing for sale now. It is simple to use and appreciated by those who have audio systems that are of decent quality to begin with. Boomboxes need not bother. But if you have made music an important part of your musical enjoyment in life then this is money well spent. See my other ads on US Audio Mart to egt an idea of the custom work that I do. A matched set of Audio Research 6DJ8 tubes comes with the unit. They are made for AR to the specifications that AR requitres for their products. That pretty much means that they are better than most. Well Murphy s Law allowed that I accidently drop one of the tubes and break it I will look to see what other tubes that I have in stock that would suit this unit. UPDATE NOTE Found a matched pair of Bugle Boy tubes to replace the set that was damaged. These are some of the best tubes that I have used for tube buffers. I HAVE EVEN ANOTHER TUBE BUFFER IN THE OVEN AND WILL POST AN AD FOR IT WHEN IT COMES CLOSE TO BEING DONE.
