THE OPPORTUNITY The Health Care Agency is seeking a political and organizational savvy candidate to serve as Chief of Operations (Administrative Manager III) within Regulatory Medical Health Services. The Regulatory Medical Health Services is comprised of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Health Disaster Management (HDM) Medical Safety Net (MSN) Environmental Health Services (EHS) and Employee Health divisions. EMS plans coordinates and oversees pre-hospital and emergency medical care systems. HDM structures the Agency s emergency response functions related to all-hazards planning including bioterrorism pandemic influenza natural disasters and other County health-related disasters. MSN provides medical care to low-income Orange County residents with an urgent or emergent medical condition and meets the County s obligation under Welfare & Institutions Code Section 17000. EHS protects our community from harmful conditions in the environment focusing on food safety healthy business operations and appropriate waste management. Employee Health provides occupational health services for all departments and agencies for the County of Orange. The Chief of Operations will have five (5) direct reports and will be part of the leadership team for the service area. The leadership team sets overall strategic direction for the delivery of regulatory and medical services.
