THE OPPORTUNITY The Health Care Agency Adult Correctional Health Services (ACHS) is recruiting for Sr. Comprehensive Care Nurses to provide direct supervision of nursing staff resolve issues delegate tasks to staff to ensure optimal nursing operations and identify the need for in-service training necessary for staff development. The position will also provide routine and emergency nursing services on a 24-hour basis to inmates and or Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainees and will serve as a liaison with other programs and departments in reaching satisfactory solutions and interventions while providing a high quality of professional nursing care. Adult Correctional Health Services (ACHS) provides medical dental nursing infection control health education and pharmaceutical services at a community standard of care to all adult inmates in the County s five correctional facilities and contracts with hospitals for inpatient and specialty care. ACHS also provides mental health services including 24-hour emergency triage and crisis intervention suicide prevention treatment beds individual and group therapy substance abuse counseling medication assessment and discharge planning to all adult inmates in the County s five correctional facilities.
