.I am a professional percussionist from Altoona Pennsylvania I ve been playing drums since the age of four I studied with many private teachers like Chuck Kerrigan who has many drum books on the market and was also a student at Berklee Loy Applemen who s Boy is head of the Bass Department at Berklee these two teachers have helped me to hone my skills as a drummer and helped me to reach for new heights to always try to be the best at drumming it s there great words of encouragement that made me want a career in the professional world of music so I owe a lot my experience to these two Teacthers My parents play a very large role in my career as a young musician coming up I had the chance to play drums in my families band which consisted of other members of my family we would travel and play fairs all across the country in the summer months I cut my first REAL recording at the age of five my Mother worked a deal with Capitol Records and our record was released under there label in School I got to play snare drum in the stage band and then in high school I got to play in the Marching band and the stage band then after graduation I played with many bands in my home town in the late 80 s I had the opportunity to record and work with Fred Johnson of the 60 s colpix The Marcels they had the hit(Blue Moon) I also did shows with Jeff Healy and i toured with my Blues band Fat Vinny and The Wiseguys and that helped me to gain Endorsements with many great drum companies like SONOR DRUMS VIC FIRTH STICKS DRUM WORKSHOP SOULTONE CYMBALS ATACK DRUMHEADS AUDIX MICROPHONES GIBRALTER RACKS LATIN PERCUSSION I returned back into college in 2002 where I graduated from Penn state university in 2006 then I wanted more so I enrolled at Berklee College of Music where I studied Music Business and Songwriting I am Slated to Graduate in the Fall of 2011 with my Masters Please check out my web site at www.falseicons.com to hear more of my playing abilities.or go to Itunes or RHAPSODY type in False Icons or Fat Vinny and The Wiseguys to hear more of my playing one of my recent playing situation was with a goth industrial band Called False icons we just signed with 13h Planet megaforce Records the band is fronted by John Bachdel and John has Played and recorded with these well known Bands PRONG KILLING JOKE FEAR FACTORY MURDER INC AND PIGFACE our CD is to be released in November 11Th of 2008 I am a union Stage hand I have had the chance to meet some cool artists like Dave Matthews Carter Bruford Toby Keith Reba Macetire Kelly Clarkson John Mellencamp Keith Urban Bruce Springsteen Etc In some of my past bands I had the chance to share the stage with some super artists 38 Special Foghat The Mercels Mongomery Gentery Jodee Messina Little Big Town Heidi Newfield Cletis T Judd Etc
