VP of Sales in Manufacturing- Columbiana OH

Overview Is responsible to lead the development of the sales plan (including detailed account strategies) to maintain and grow the business in support of the strategic plan. Drives development and implementation of common Sales initiatives and practices and is responsible for the overall effectiveness of the Sales Team and programs while working with Steering Team to co-ordinate and continually create an atmosphere which cultivates a familial and continually positive learning world-class environment. Essential Functions Develop measurable performance metrics for all direct reports that are meaningful and communicated monthly Drive Gross Sales to meet or exceed established goals and work with the Steering Team to meet or exceed company objectives. Lead the development of the sales plan (including detailed account strategies) to maintain and grow the business in support of the strategic plan. Oversee the daily operation of the Sales Department with the primary focus on Customer Service . Maintain current and establish solid long-term customer relationships which requires traveling. Lead sales team to secure new product-line sales in support of strategic plan. Lead the monthly update of the S& OP sales forecast. Manage and oversee sales account responsibilities with accountability. Oversee the supplier-managed inventory programs with Stocking Program Manager production and purchasing. Oversee and lead the sales team in marketing campaigns. Work with Steering Team to co-ordinate interaction between departments and instill a team attitude. Oversee the development implementation use and maintenance of the CRM data. Work with pricing team to establish competitive pricing. Pursue continuing education applicable to this position that will enhance our position in the global marketplace. Serve as a member of the companies Industries Steering Team. Support company-wide safety program. Ensure company-wide safety Non-Essential Functions Ensure timely and accurate quoting. Coordinate sales activity with warehouse distribution channels including TankHeadExpress. Coordinate order entry and date management with production and purchasing. Work with accounting to address and resolve credit issues. Act as the Customer Representative at the daily Customer Service Meeting to interface with production and purchasing to establish and prioritize customer delivery schedules. Preferred Qualifications Must possess strong leadership qualities including being hungry hone-able and honorable. Must know how to motivate and add value to people and create a team element. Must have working knowledge of the pressure vessel industry custom stampings manufacturing and related technology. Must have working knowledge of metal stamping and draw forming processes. Must have working knowledge of the steel industry in general. Must have the ability to work in an organized and timely manner. Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Must have a working knowledge of ERP and related systems and software. Must have the ability to use software applications relevant to this position. Must have top level interpersonal skills to work as a member of the company team. Must have the ability to develop and maintain personal relationships with customers. Must be self-motivating a self-starter and willing to take action. Must have suitable math reasoning problem solving and decision making skills. Must have the ability to travel and represent our Industries as required. Must have a high school diploma college degree preferred. PVMA affiliation is desired.
