Maintenance technician First Shift

Direct Hire First Shift Other shifts available. Some flexibility in days and hours. Summary of job Troubleshoots repairs and maintains production equipment physical structures utilities and electrical systems to meet production schedule.Essential Duties and Responsibilities including the following Other duties may be assigned. Performs mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of machine malfunctions to determine root cause of problems. Performs repairs as needed to restore proper functions.Performs preventive maintenance service and repair on production equipment and auxiliary equipment to assure their continued performance in the production of customer s parts.Performs preventive maintenance service and repair on the physical structure plumbing water and electrical systems of the plant to maintain their continual operation.Operates tools meters fabricating and material handling equipment as needed to service and repair machinery.Follows safe work rules including lock out tag out.Maintains the work area through good housekeeping to meet 5S standards.Documents work performed on work order form to support equipment history file.Performs related duties as needed by supervisor to assure the continual workflow of production parts and operation of the facility.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and or ability required.Experience EducationHigh school diploma or general education training (GED) preferred and a minimum of 5 years related experience and training.Graduate of apprenticeship or other formal maintenance training program is preferred.SkillsAble to read and understand equipment manuals and drawings including part drawings exploded views hydraulic schematics PID s and ladder logic diagrams.Knowledge of injection mold equipment preferred.Able to communicate with suppliers to specify and order parts as needed.Able to work independently.Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.Able to write routine reports.Able to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Able to compute rate ratio and percent and to interpret charts and graphs.Use personal computer for email internet research and business systems.Physical DemandsMust be able to stand walk use hands & fingers reaching with hands & arms stoop kneel crouch and climb.Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.Requires good vision (Close Peripheral and Depth) correctable to a minimum of 20x40.Must be able to work extended hours and holidays as needed.
