Hi I am Joseph Bae. I am currently a piano accompanist at the Korean United Presbyterian Church of Kansas. I am fluent in both English and Korean and could teach in both English and Korean as well. I played the piano since I was 4 years old. I came to United States in 2000 from South Korea and live in my parent s house in Overland Park. I graduated from Midwestern Baptist College (under Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary) in Kansas City MO in December 18 2015 with B.A. of Christian Ministry with Christian Education concentration. I studied Associates of Arts in Music (with piano) from 2010 to 2012 but transferred to B.A. of Christian Ministry. I accompanied piano for a travel praise team band (Midwestern Praise Team) for local churches during my college years. I have a musical foundation for teaching and I also taught children while I was in college. Now I am a Master of Divinity student at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary studying online. I CHARGE 15 FOR 30 MINUTES AND 30 FOR AN HOUR LESSONS PER PERSON.I AM AVAILABLE MONDAY TO SATURDAY. (schedule could be worked out) CUSTOMERS TRAVEL TO MY HOUSE. (The house is located between Goodman St. and Hemlock St. on W 123rd St. Overland Park Kansas. The exact location of the house is little different than shown in craiglist map. I will text you the address after you send an email with your contact information that you are interested in my piano lessons. You should be able to find my house with GPS or google maps with no problem.) I can teach you classical piano and contemporary piano music as well as classical cello and contemporary cello music. I can also help you accomplish your musical goals and help you earn musical awards and musical achievements. I have learned classical piano from Dr. Pretzel who is currently a conductor at Baker University. I have won numerous piano competition awards from Mid America Music Association (The competition was usually at Kansas City or St. Louis.). Specifically I played classical piano works from Beethoven Mozart Debussy Chopin and Rachmaninoff and earned a superior rating (best rating) with a trophy in years 2005 2006 2007 and 2008. I earned a certificate of merit for exceptional performance and participation in the Kansas City Symphony Young Artist Competition playing Mendelssohn s Piano Concerto 1 in G minor. I earned an excellent rating in Mid America Music Association in 2009. I also earned an 1 rating (best rating) for Bach s prelude and fugue 6 from Well Tempered Clavier Book 1 on KSHSAA State Solo and Ensemble Festival at McKibbin Recital Hall in Baker University. I also minored in Music with piano at Midwestern Baptist College SBC from 2010 to 2012. I was a cellist member of Freshman Orchestra of Blue Valley North High School from 2006 to 2007. I was a cellist member of Symphonic Orchestra of Blue Valley North High School from 2007 to 2010. I have earned a 2 rating in Cello Instrument Solo in 2008 for Regional Music Festival related to Blue Valley North High School. I also earned a 1 rating (best rating) for string instrumental ensemble for Regional Music Festival in 2008. I also earned a 1 rating (best rating) in Cello Instrument Solo in 2009 for Regional Music Festival and played Bach s Cello Suite 1. I earned a 3 rating for string instrumental ensemble for Regional Music Festival in 2009. I earned a 2 rating for string instrument solo for 2010 Regional Music Festival and played Prelude of Bach s Suite No.5 in c minor. I also earned a 4 rating for Instrumental Ensemble String in 2010 Regional Music Festival with Brandenburg Concerto no. 5 by Bach.
