Sacred Harp Sing

Sacred Harp Sing February 20 2016 starting at 10 am central time Sacred Harp Singing (also called fa so la or shape note singing) dates back to colonial times and has been preserved in the rural south. The singing is not accompanied by harp or other instruments but is an old style of singing acappella from shape notes. It is a non-denominational community musical event that emphasizes on participation. All are encouraged to bring a covered dish. Our general store will be open from 10-2 pm with tours available. Admission is free (donations are appreciated).
