CookingSewingDance Craft Teachers and Assistants Needed

Work with children in foster care to develop and teach interesting and informative sewing craft dance or cooking classes. All materials are provided to teach classes in modern dance nutrition sewing and fashion design craft or art. Population Served Arizona has over 19 000 children in foster care with little or no after school activities it is distressing to see how they spend their time. These activities will improve their day to day outcomes increase their self confidence and help them to change the cycle of abuse neglect and abandonment. Community Need Foster youth aging out of the system have some of the worst statistical outcomes of any youth population. With over 19 000 children in foster care in Arizona we are second in the nation. The children in our communities are living in group homes with little or no adult contact except for caregivers. Community Impact These enrichment programs aim to encourage confidence hope and joy with the side benefit of helping youths trust adults again.
