Pure Religion 5K to help stamp out human trafficking Saturday April 16 2016 at 9 00am Central Church (5301 Sardis Road Charlotte NC) www.PureReligion5K.com Central church invites you to join us for our 6th annual Pure Religion 5K to promote awareness and fight against human trafficking. There are millions enslaved worldwide more than at any other point in human history. After drug trafficking human trafficking or modern-day slavery is the second largest criminal industry in the world. We can t imagine the horror of a 12-year-old girl being sold to a brothel and there are an estimated 100 000 minors in the United States alone trapped in sex trafficking. The city of Charlotte is routinely in the top 10 states with human trafficking. Please join with hundreds in the community as we walk run for freedom of those enslaved. This will be a fun family event which will include a Kids Fun Run face painting and music. Food and drink items will be available in our coffee shop. Early bird rates until February 29 2016.
