This amp head is a vintage Fender Bassman 100 tube head. Because it is mainly tube construction it has a distinct tone that is superior to that of its solid state counter parts. Futher because it is a 100 watt head it can handle larger speakers making it an excellent choice for stage type speakers unlike the 60watt versions. When turned on a high setting you can here it several city blocks away unlike those lower power versions The tubes are the highly sought after Groove Tubes which are considered the best of the best This head has also had the main filter caps replaced about a year ago installed by a skilled professional no mods. Newer amps just are not the same.
