Our client a large wholesale manufacturer and distributor of lumber products for North America has immediate openings for both experienced and entry-level Engineered Lumber Designers at its design department in Southern MA. Requirements Ability to read and interpret Architectural & Structural blueprints. Capable of operating a computer and run design software utilized in the industry. Familiar with general computer applications such as Microsoft Word Excel Outlook Adobe etc. Good math skills including geometry trigonometry fractions and understanding Architectural units. Ability to calculate loads within a building tributary loads concentrated loads and develop load paths. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to deal courteously with customers co-workers and construction personnel. This is an immediate opening with an excellent experience based salary and outstanding benefits package.
