They are looking for a Sr. Graphic Designer (Banking PowerPoint Adobe CS6 Exp) This is 12 months contract position with a very strong possibility of extension. Job Title Creative Design Specialist Reporting to Senior Manager Creative Design Services Location Toronto Shift 8am - 4 30pm - Mon. - Fri. The Creative Design Group is looking for a graphic designer who specializes in creating innovative and visually appeals designs and layouts for PowerPoint presentations and other formats. The candidate must have expert knowledge of Illustrator and be able to redraw maps and illustrations with great detail. Manager Notes Candidate will be working in a PC environment and should have spent the majority of their most recent experience on this platform Experience creating PowerPoint presentations from start to finish is a must Need someone very creative - can create original illustrations for cover pages Experience in a corporate setting (finance preferred) big-box experience of a larger corporate organization - preference for these types of organizations rather than an Ad Agency. MUST BE WILLING TO WORK OVERTIME including weekends Able to work with high volumes Please provide portfolio link or attach relevant examples Design test To be completed onsite Candidates will complete a design test onsite. The test is 2.5 hours. The test consists of Designing a cover page for X company. Retracing 2 illustrations using Illustrator Manager will reach out to successful candidates and arrange an interview. Key accountabilities Develop cutting-edge design concepts graphics and layouts Transform generic text-heavy presentations into visually appealing layouts Recreate and enhance logos Create edit and format presentations Build custom templates in PowerPoint Word Excel Design invitations and newsletters Trace and edit vector logos and maps Create maps by drawing pipelines railroads and roads organize data points and plot assets on map redraw maps from web pages Complete assigned jobs within specified time frames Responsible for delivering client-ready material within specified time frames Ensure all materials conform to banks visual identity compliance and confidentiality standards. Expert knowledge of CS6 (Adobe Photoshop Illustrator and InDesign) and Acrobat Professional 10 Intermediate to advance knowledge of MS Office 2010 (PowerPoint Word and Excel) working knowledge of Business Map and Omni Page Exceptional creativity and innovation Accuracy and attention to detail Advanced graphic design skills with a strong portfolio An understanding of the latest design trends Professional approach to time costs and deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to adapt and respond to challenges deadlines emergencies and a rapidly changing work environment. Provides prompt and courteous service to clients Creative and detail oriented Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills Team player Take ownership of projects Able to work flex hours including weekend work and overtime as necessary Post secondary education in Graphic Design or equivalent experience. 5-7 years of Graphic Desktop Publishing experience in a similar environment. Expert level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop Illustrator and Acrobat and mapping software for graphic design and slide production. Intermediate to advanced level practical knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint) for advanced document production.
