Original 1896 lithograph printed in colors on wove paper. Transcribed from a full-sized 1895 poster by Henri Gerbault advertising chocolate from the Carpentier company. A plate in the publication Les Affiche Illustrees. Frame size 19-1 4 inches H x 16-1 4 inches W (48.9 cm x 41.3 cm). Only 1 050 copies of this image was produced. Many have not survived. Examined apart from the frame and found to be in excellent condition. Framed in elegant antique-style gold frame. Completed with acid-free indigo matting. Set behind a UV-resistant acrylic cover.
