My client is a Major Bank located in Toronto ON. They are looking for a Junior Desktop Publishing Administrator This is a 1 year contract position with a possibility of an extension. HOURS Monday to Thursday 5 30pm to 2am Sunday 3 30pm to 12am Capital Markets is seeking a Workflow Coordinator for Desktop Publishing Department. Applicants MUST have experience with PowerPoint and production. KEY DIMENSIONS A. Workflow Coordination (80%) B. Projects & Support (15%) C. Inventory Control (5%)KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Workflow Coordination (80%) Responsible for efficiently monitoring the Support Services queue and making decisions on prioritization and coordination for Publishing Creative and Business Research requests. Ensure proper tracking of requests within database. Assign jobs to respective groups based on expertise and availability. Maintain updated procedures for workflow coordination. Projects & Support (15%) Provide ongoing training as required to workflow and professional staff. Sustain and acquire the skills needed to effectively perform role duties. Study and work towards expertise on other Desktop software when time permits or on own time. Any other projects assigned by the Creative Design Manager as needed. Assist with print production requests as requested Provide back up to quality control coordinators.Inventory Control (5%) Equipment and supply maintenance Responsible for inventory supplies related to the Desktop Production area. Keep Production area clean and organized and stocked with standard desktop supplies on a regular basis. Provide support and services to Client s Capital Markets Regional officesKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Knowledge As this is an entry level position must possess or be working towards undergraduate degree in any discipline. Minimum one year experience in a similar office environment required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word PowerPoint Excel) and Adobe Acrobat Professional.. Effective time-management to prioritize and provide high quality products and service.Skills Scanning and technical skills required. Provide prompt and courteous service to clients Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to adapt and respond to challenges deadlines emergencies and a rapidly changing work environment.WORKING CONDITIONS You would be working in a comfortable office environment. Requires sensitivity in dealing with complex and confidential matters. Requires focus and concentration when managing materials for production. Supports a highly demanding business group with high level of pressure to produce outputs as a result of multiple demands and conflicting priorities. Has limited exposure to risk or ill health however high levels of stress may be experienced due to managing continuous multiple and conflicting priorities. Business group runs 24 hours a day and therefore flex hours including weekend work may be required with little to no notice. May experience periods of high-level stress as a result of multiple demands and conflicting priorities.
