Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Indiana Job Description Position Title ReStore Manager - Retail Job Summary This person is responsible for operations of the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. This individual must understand and appreciate the mission of Habitat for Humanity. Key Responsibilities-Operations Opening and closing of the ReStore for scheduled daily hours. Complete management of ReStore operations. Ensuring the accuracy of daily sales. Ensuring the accuracy of cash register drawer reconciliation. Commitment to a safe and clean working environment. Supervision of all employees and volunteers. Management of all activities related to revenue and expense budget. Daily management of store P & L. Ensure the proper paperwork is completed when hiring staff and AARP. Ensure the proper paperwork is completed for donors. Customer service training for all employees and volunteers. Key Responsibilities-Marketing Develop and implement an annual marketing plan. Responsible for communicating to the IT person so that our Habitat face book and ReStore webpage stay updated with ongoing events. Obtain quotes from printers for printing work on all items that bear the Affiliate s logo. Creating and implementing an ongoing special event to highlight the many features of the ReStore to create a place for the ReStore in the community. Responsible for developing ReStore special events. Key Responsibilities-Management Working closely with all ReStore personnel to ensure store policies and procedures are followed. Assist with training all employees community service volunteers and AARP. Key Responsibilities-Office Assist in answering the phones and referring client to appropriate staff member. Handle the phone calls if the appropriate staff member if unavailable. Schedule donation pickups if the appropriate staff member is unavailable. Ability to operate office equipment including copiers fax machines etc. Effective communication and documentation of employee reviews. Effective communication of employee coaching. Scheduling and payroll. Daily morning staff meetings and safety walks. Job Specifications Intermediate computer skills (word excel publisher proficiency a plus) Excellent written and communication skills Valid driver s license Serve as a back-up driver Fulfillment of responsibilities described above Other duties as assigned Optional This position interacts with Customers Donors and Employees.
