One of our International Premium Food Manufacturer clients is looking for JDE Business Analyst Length Permanent position Location Toronto Ontario We are looking for an enthusiastic and keen individual to fill the role of JDE Business Systems Analyst. Reporting to the Manager Project Portfolio & Business Systems the JDE Business Systems Analyst will be the key JD Edwards (JDE) liaison between Information Technology and the business. As a customer focused team member with IT colleagues internal & external stakeholders and management this position will ensure that the response to assigned tasks service request tickets and projects are well defined prioritized and managed to meet the requirements and expectations of all customers. Responsibilities include (but not limited to) Conduct JDE Business Analysis Introduce review analyze and implement change identify current and expected business issues and requirements. Adapt and grow one s own knowledge and perspective in an ever changing business environment. Identify issues proactively through analysis and assessment. Conduct JDE System Analysis Responsible for making routine decisions that involve standard JDE queries reports and design. Interpret code to understand business rules and potential issues and convey that information and understanding to the business. Understand database and application architectures and able to relate the data and process impacts to stakeholders. Be knowledgeable of industry best practices at varying levels. Act as a strategic partner to the business by participating and facilitating meetings where objectives are outlined through the appropriate mediums (i.e. presentations handouts or by verbal means). Create review and approve documents such as project deliverables capital expenditure requests change control documentation and similar artifacts. Ensure Quality Assurance Utilize an IT ticketing system to track assign and resolve tickets in shared queues. Ensure the issues considered are addressed by all parties root cause is determined monitoring of the issue is in place and outstanding consequences are rectified. Ensure information is shared by enabling knowledge transfer verbally or through documentation at a level consumable by the audience. Project Management Manage and participate in all phases of the system development life cycle planning analysis design implementation and maintenance. Address multiple and rapidly changing priorities and maintain stakeholder confidence through managing those expectations. Leverage mitigation strategies such as escalating issues time boxing efforts and addressing an issue in multiple ways. Qualifications Post-Secondary education in Business Information Technology or a related discipline. 3-5 years experience in a JDE Business Analyst or related role. Experience with JDE 9.1.x or higher. Experience in Insight and Cognos 10 would be beneficial. Understanding of Consumer Packaged Goods Sales Distributions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to influence others. Customer service attitude and focus. Ability to multi-task prioritize and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment. In-depth knowledge of business processes operations and related industry practices. Understanding of application programming database and system design. Strong business analytical and process design skills. Ability to work independently problem solve and drive for results. Understand how to communicate difficult and sensitive information tactfully.
