Physical Activity Study for Inactive Moms

The UCSF Institute for Health & Aging (IHA) is conducting a study to help mothers with young children to lose weight and to increase physical activity. We use the Fitbit device to help moms track their activity.The study involves three office visits and you will be asked to complete questionnaires and a physical exam (weight height blood pressure hip and waist circumference).You have potential to keep the Fitbit (activity monitor) and to receive 50 after finishing the study.You may qualify for the study if you 18-44 years of age Physically inactive Having at least one child aged less than 5 years Having at least one family member or friend who can support your physical activity engagement and reside in the community with you Have access to computer and phone If you or someone you know would like to find out more information about the study or to volunteer please call directly at (415) 502-3091 or email directly at mother(at)ucsf.edu including your contact information and best times to reach you.Please be assured that all information relating to this study will be kept confidential.
