Coordinator Student Retention

Provide leadership under the direction of the Associate Dean for Academic Programs and Services (APS) to launch and sustain initiatives with the aim of increasing undergraduate student retention and graduation rates as well as reducing time to graduation in the College of Human Sciences. With the goal of retention and timely graduation of transfer students serve as instructor for section(s) of the Human Sciences First-Year Transfer Experience course following the leadership of the course coordinator in order to develop sustain connections with transfer students in the College of Human Sciences. Serve as a team member within the APS Coordinator leadership team which collaboratively provides innovative guidance to diverse initiatives related to student recruitment development recognition leadership retention and timely graduation. Travel is required as necessary. This may include out-of-state or in-state travel. Additionally it may be necessary to attend meetings and professional development conferences out of town. Required qualifications Bachelor degree in Human Sciences or related field and 2 or more years of related experience and demonstrated ability to work effectively with students colleagues and the general public. Requires self-motivated individual with demonstrated leadership and management skills who enjoys working with students faculty staff and the general public. Ability to communicate with a diverse audience and articulate programs in the college to both internal and external audiences. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to handle confidential matters is vital. Proficiency with the latest technology and appropriate software is required. Prefer candidate with Master s degree in Human Sciences or related fields and 2-5 years of progressively responsible administrative duties. Certification that requires training to help facilitate self-assessment and self-reflection activities such as the Global Career Development (GCDF) credential. Familiarity with all areas of Human Sciences and with Oklahoma State University policies and procedures is desirable.
