FUN Gaming To Improve Academic Skills (one on one or in groups) As an elementary teacher and tutor for the past fifteen years I ve used games to strengthen students reading math and writing skills. It has increased their enthusiasm speed and competence. Long term memory is engaged when a student can find something about a subject that is meaningful or entertaining even in a small way. I vary my approach based on each student s receptivity. Each session lasts an hour for young children and an hour and a half for older students. The fee per session is 15 . Two or more students may be tutored for 10 each. It s a pleasure to help children navigate through school more easily and joyfully.
