La Parisienne Orig Wood Engraving by Edouard Manet

Original wood engraving print in black ink on creme wove paper by French Impressionist Edouard Manet. Signed in the plate Manet by the artist lower right. Also signed by the carver A Prunaire sc lower left. Second state. Titled La Parisienne the print shows an elegant Parisian woman (Mme. Nina de Callais) looking at the viewer. The wood engraving was created in 1874 this impression was published in 1910 by Theodore Duret in Manet and the French Impressionists. This piece is number 77 in Jean Harris Catalogue Raisonne of Manet s prints pp. 199-200. Frame Size 15-3 4 inches H x 17-3 4 inches W (40 cm H x 45.1 cm W). This print is in very good condition a strong impression. Framed in a antiqued gold and black frame and matted in an acid-free matte with a gold filet.
