Responsibilities include The Senior Director of Mobile Applications will work across Marriott Digital Global Marketing Customer Experience Analytics SEO and Personalization teams to develop and execute a mobile product plan and strategy for increasing revenues user engagement and customer satisfaction with Marriott s mobile Apps. This role will play a pivotal role translating business objectives into solutions that create positive impact on user engagement and guest satisfaction within the mobile context. This role will also interface with external vendors and partners such as Google Apple Adobe Sales Force and others to synthesize how we can leverage various technologies to bring the best experiences technology has to offer. CANDIDATE PROFILE 10 years in Mobile Product Development and Management. Must have held senior positions and had P& L responsibilities. Managed budgets over 5 Million. Has the ability to estimate workload appropriately distribute funds and manage spending. Strong understanding mobile application operating systems (iOS and Android) and their native capabilities. Engineering background and understanding of data call flows data layers service caching APIs data networks and data bases. Has built product feature roadmaps and delivery schedules Has strong project management skills and has overseen large cross functional teams (20 ) Ability to prioritize and communicate priorities to leadership and cross functional teams and ensure they get completed in an order that drives the most value for the customer and the company. Ability to see the big picture and break down product delivery into manageable technical implementations while delivering value and moving towards the final goal. Ability to pivot from existing plan to address any unforeseen circumstances and maintain calm within the development team. Ability to work in an Agile Scrum software development practice. Ability to identify new opportunities to drive better customer experiences and or incremental revenues Excellent communicator both written and spoken. Must be able to explain product vision business objective technical feasibility define requirements and technical implementations. Manage and understand Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and make data driven decisions. Strong problem-solving skills and able to get into the technical weeds to come to a solution. Has a Global Mindset understands that the products and services are used differently across our global customer base and that we must tailor or products to best meet their need while maintaining operational efficiencies. JOB Description Specifics Manage several agile teams to deliver both iOS and Android Marriott applications Responsible for ensuring delivery of features committed in roadmaps KPI reporting for App performance Meeting with OS venders (Apple & Google) to stay abreast of new features and align on service access App release schedule and management. Communication of released features. Working with source systems and APIs to ensure we are optimizing app performance and providing the services our guests expect. Product operational reviews and customer service issues resolution Keeping the development teams engaged and happy Will have several direct reports (product managers) who are responsible for various areas of the applications. Coach and develop product managers perform annual reviews and perform administrative duties.
